Mariënburg Campus
A national monument from 1897, the former monastery and mother house of the Sisters JMJ. In the bustling city of \’S-Hertogenbosch a stone\’s throw away from the central station on the Mariënburg Campus since 2016 the first university of \’S-Hertogenbosch, the Jheronimus Academy of Data Science. In addition to the university, more than 3500 m2 of office space is available for Data Science related companies start-ups to digital SMEs. The campus also has 77 furnished apartments. Studying, working and living under one roof, a unique concept in the Netherlands.
History Mariënburg
In 1897 the foundation stone was laid for the new mother house of the sisters JMJ at the Sint Janssingel in \’s-Hertogenbosch. In 1899 JMJ counted about 58 houses in the country. The sisters have been working in education since the beginning. On the Marienburg there was a Kweekschool, Huishoudschool and Industrial School between 1899 and 1999. In 2015, JMJ decided to sell the monastery complex. With the arrival of JADS the circle is complete, the Mariënburg is an environment where learning, working and living come together.
